Self-Massage Classes and Sessions

Self-Massage has many benefits:

  • Reduces stress
  • Releases pain
  • Loosens muscle tissue
  • Increases circulation
  • Induces relaxation
  • Helps decrease muscle soreness after exercise
  • Reduces and releases pain from headaches and migraines
  • Helps you be more attuned to your own body

Most of us spend a lot of time in our minds. As a result, we lose touch with being grounded and with what is going on in our bodies. Taking the time to practice self-massage is an empowering act of self-care--a way to tune into and treat your body with the care and respect it deserves.

candleJust like it sounds, self-massage is about giving a massage to yourself and your body, through a series of strokes and techniques also used in general massage sessions.

Self-massage (and massage in general) boosts the levels of oxytocin in your body (the feel good hormone that counters stress and promotes relaxed states for both mind and body).

Self-Massage Classes are designed for groups, companies, and organizations to promote wellness and stress reduction. You will learn practical techniques to relax your back, neck, and shoulders, as well as your arms and hands.

One-on-One Self-Massage Sessions are available and designed specifically for what your body needs in order to address your particular stress, soreness, and muscular tension. Typically, a foundation of a self-massage session starts with learning massage for the head, neck, and shoulders, but can also be tailored to focus on other areas of muscular soreness, stiffness, and tension.

Each session lasts an hour.
